My brother and I was at IHop this morning and we were discussing this topic. It really got me thinking. Should California secede from the United States and become its own country?
I think it should. My reasoning is as follows:
California gives more money to the United States than it receives. Because of this, California has hardly enough to fund programs the people really need such as education. Hell, the freeway outside Baldwin Park has been under renovation for the past 2 years. If California were to secede from the United States, it would have the necessary funds to benefit the people. According to many sources, California would have one of the top economies in the world, if it secedes, of course. On top of that, California is one of the largest producers of agriculture and entertainment. It has the largest population of any State and already has a stable military.
However, I think California would still be involved in the Afghan war alongside America, since a majority of 9/11 victims were Los Angelenos and San Fransiscoians (LOL MY CUSTOM NAMES).
So anyway, what do you think? Should California become it's own country?
If you do not give a shit, please refrain from posting. Kthx.
