The fall damage in ZS is a bit.. UNREAL, ok now i will be serious, It is VERY UNREAL.

OK TIME FOR CABLE TO GET INVOLVED IN THIS THREAD.

The fall damage IS a little bit annoying... But it adds to the game in a good way... Sorta.
On the other hand, One good way to make me rage quit from the game is when i have a strong 50+ killstreak going and i step on a barrel with the wring toe and explode. That shit is totally dumb.

Could it be possible to remove/decrease ALL damage done from props?
But for the fall damage, keep it how it is. Maybe if people were a little more careful and didn't crave the feeling or looking over a cliff, This thread could have been avoided.

Like i always say: "DON'T FUCKING WHINE BITCH!" Or something along those lines.

I actually recall the OLD fall damage.
Like in 09, zs fall damage was the same as build i think.
I remember FBER and I wouldn't even think twice about walking off the building on zs_anchor.
Maybe try switching back to that for a while and see what happens?

Ok, guys, i got the idea. You know in HL2 that the Falldamage is according to the height (In that case, its the y-axis.) . So, If you fall from a height that would kill you in reality, you explode like a bombed Barrel. But if you jump down from a high fence that normally would kill you at the current settings, you will get away about 50 HP or something like that. I´ll see what the mp_falldamage settings in HL2 is, its how i said something with the y-axis.

BTW: I googled something about the mp_falldamage, according to the height, anything to read is here : http://www.facepunch.com/threads/643321-Help-with-mp_falldamage-1-or-realistic-fall-damage

Theres something about a Lua-Code, what Garry didnt add in Gmod as Valve did in HL2. (Build = Falldamage 10 no matter what height it is, so its in every Gamemode set 10, until its been changed in lua)

So ill suggest we have to add that code on the homepage into the lua, if it doesnt works we could still try the HL2 mp_falldamage settings.

I think the falldamage should not be nerfed, seen as it makes it more realistic, but I do agree with the fact that you walk on a prop and explode is very annoying....
If this is fixable, please do...

But it should be tweaked - so it is consistent [seriously, playing [fear tower?] in ZS, I fell as the same zombie, survived a fall from the very top, but exploded into a mass of huts guts falling from 1/4 that height, had the same amount of health in both cases.  How the hell does that make any sense?

I know how we can solve the problem of whether or not someone can survive that height.


Someone record themselves jumping off a 1-story roof (8 feet), and see if they injure themselves.
Then someone record themselves jumping off a 2-story roof (16 feet), and see how much they injure themselves.

ITS GENIUS.

Yeah, and you should start with recording ^-^ no, im just kidding.

Anyways, thats really annoying. However, i think we could use the damage twice of HL2 mp_falldamage, that would be realistic. (In HL2 you got the HEV-Suit, more protecting)

Exploding props killing instantly? THATS REALISTIC! Shoot a barrel in reality right next to you and ill see if you are still alive ;)
