I still think theres a problem if we even have to report a regular. And still the entire idea that regular is given out without the guidelines being enforced is an issue. If the admins are supposed to set an example and enforce the rules, then how can the community respond when the admins break their own rules?
And people shouldn't post on a regular application unless they've met the person in-game, you cant tell if someones a minge by looking at their good grammar and spelling, or how their application looks.
Regular is currently being handed out at about the same rate as respected, even though the guidelines are completely different. I believe that some things require you to be strict. In this case the regular guidelines need to be enforced, and players approved based on how they play in-game, not by their well structured app.
Admins shouldn't need a rule stating that they should set an example.
Regulars should be the ones setting examples.
If regulars are nothing but dicks, then it turns people away from the community, which (at least the last time I checked,) is not our intent.
I don't think that things should be changed. I do think that players who apply for regulars...must actually BE regular players. Not just people that showed up and went "wow i liek fretta look im kliener" and decided they wanted to have a fancy blue tag next to them.
So in closing, I am in support of reporting regulars that do not do their job, or are just generally bastards to people. Think about it this way:
If you were an manager of a grocery store, and one of your employees said "hello, welcome to -a;sdjg;astore-", then turned and threw eggs at them, you would fire their ass in a heartbeat.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that the reason we apply for regular in the first place is to make sure that we are able to handle the responsibility of voting. Which is, in itself, pretty damn pathetic, that we can't let people be trusted with the slightest of responsibility.
