Like Kokiri Village?

Yes :)

Also my idea(excuse the iPaint)

Basically the wolf can choose 3 jump destinations with 512 distance between each location, allowing for wolf only areas

The selected jump points glow clientside

//I'm home now and can add stuff etc

Cake do you do player models ? And yah thanks bro I'll add when I get home

The player models currently have no anims and I can't find any tuts on conversions

I have an idea for the wolf attack/jump, will post it later

Shit. I cant work them :C

I can attempt to add bones to them but there is no-way to change the default source 3rd person animations.

For that wolf attack/jump thingy, I could read-up on view models and create the same effect like it will show your hands moving for those moves and such. But i dont know about the lua. You gotta get your lua scripture to do that.

Okay, this is news to me, but the N64 ran Midi's.

Which is great, because now I can just rip samples from it.

I can start working on ambient tracks and such either tonight, or tomorrow.

I'll also compile some wolf sounds (howling, attacking, ambient, warnings, ect)

Alright, heres my goal for the weekend

Compile Wolf Sounds
- Ambient Distance
- Idle
- Alert
- Attacking
- Attacking hit
- Attacking miss
- hurt
(Let me know if source uses any other sounds for NPC's)
(Also, does source differentiate between attacks that hit, or miss?)

Figure out what ambient tracks I'm going to use and/or remake

Horror Tracks > Monsters in the distance, ect
Calm Tracks > No BGM, just ambient sounds like chirping, crickets, water, ect
Battle Tracks > ?
Generic Music > Variations of the original tracks + using original tracks.

I also have a Gerudo Valley remix that was ORIGINALLY in OOT, for the planned Arena level/area, but was later removed. Honestly, it sounded pretty damn good. I'll work on getting that uploaded when I have a chance.

I also want to know if you guys think I should just port the sounds from the original OOT, or use entirely new samples.

Preferably, using original samples, due to the fact that the game samples might be paid samples, and we'd be subject to copyright.
Then again, we're remaking a MMO version of the Zelda franchise, so copyright issues might not be a concern.

Maybe you should contact the original creator. He might be able to help a bit. also just let him know his gamemode has been revived.

Also I would like to try some mapping, if there is still space.

Voice acting too, if it is needed.

Sure, I'm still a beginner at mapping. Hyrule field seems simple. I'll start next week.

Edit: This is starting to sound a lot like a MMORPG. Maybe we should just make one out of this ;)

WHAT YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED A MMORPG BEFORE???

Let me break this down. Most MMORPG's are free roam, however, while you are free roaming, there are enemies. You kill these enemies to get exp. Once your exp bar fills up, you level up. Killing enemies usually drops money and other items. Using money you can buy in game items, like stronger weapons and better armor. Also, there are tons of NPC's that give you quests. These quests usually comprise of some dumbass shit like delivering a letter to some asshole, or some actually useful shit, like killing a certain amount of enemies, or obtaining a certain amount of quest-only items from an enemy. After completing a quest, you are rewarded with money, items, and exp.

Play Flyff. Rearry good example.
