Right. Let me vent here a bit.

I'm not leaving the community, nor am I trying to avoid doing my part around here. For the last couple weeks, I've been falling behind on schoolwork, and have been having a good bit of family problems. Becuase of that, I'm not able to help out as much in the community (reports, applications, bans, whatever). I tried to avoid it, but right now, I'm in a SHTF situation and need to seriously just focus on my work.

I'm not using that as a cop-out. Far from it. I still want to be active and be a part of the community, but this takes precedent over it.

The purpose of this thread is to ask you guys what you'd prefer I do. At the moment, I'm really the last completely active admin on the forums, and have been pretty much handling reports/promotions/etc on my own.

My idea was to pick one or two VIP's to help handle reports by approving/denying them for me when I can't. Basically, they'd be in charge of reviewing evidence/giving out a final verdict then just message me to handle out the actual ban and lock/move the thread. It's far less work on my end and only takes a couple seconds to do, which is what I really do need at this point.

What I wanted to know was if you guys were okay with this idea, and if so, who you'd prefer be doing this.

Because a demotion for inactivity is absolutely pointless.

And I agree with Deacon and Alkaline. Unit too, maybe. There's been a few situations where I feel he's a bit quick to jump the gun though.

Anyways, I actually have a bit too much time on my hands, so I'd be glad to help out with the promotions/reports. That is unless if a ton of people want to do it instead.



Also, may I suggest we add some kind of rank which is like admin, but for the forums only? I could see people like Deacon benefiting from this feature if it would be added.

The word you're looking for is global moderator.

And the issue with that is that we don't really have any forum issues. Most of it is relating to reports/applications, which need admin intervention to be completed (eg; Reports need to be entered into sourcebans, and apps need to be promoted in-game by an admin).

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the time you have dedicated to the reports, promotions, bans, and everything.

I hate to see someone overburdened and wouldn't wish that upon you so don't feel any obligation.

If things do get really built up and there's no one really able to do it I will go through periodically.

However it's proving really difficult to do so as the new servers need to be transitioned.
