You can find lots of ammo in barns, and in a shop in smaller towns. Well, I can always find some lee enfield, winchester, and cz550 ammo.

However, smaller towns and villages need some fucking painkillers.

Only peasant ammo can be found in those barns and small towns. The only place I've found ammo for my m4 is at the airfields and in the largest cities.

Think about that before you snag that AKM or AK-74, which are of the same tier.

Does anyone else get mouse lag to the point where the game is unplayable?

I've turned off vsync and mouse smoothing, along with another setting in the configuration. I still can't aim.

Is it because your computer just can't handle the game?

It's some really common ammo ._.

If I'm near you tonight/tomorrow, I can make a town run with you to get some.

No I'm pretty sure he can run it. I mean, he's getting like 15 fps on the almost the highest graphic settings.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Anyways, I bet if he turned the graphics down a tad bit, I bet his FPS would be a lot better.

Sabb: oh when'd you get there!?
...
Sabb: That was embarrassing.

I can actually run it on all-maxed settings with decent FPS. However, under certain circumstances it takes about 100-500ms for my mouse movement to register.
