VIP activity check.

Basically its an activity check for the VIP's to see if they're active or not
and gather some information like the times VIP's are on the server.
For example, VIP's will have to fill a form.
I'm going to break it into two parts, the form it self and how should the VIP answer.

In-Game name:
Are you active?
How much time do you spend on the servers?
If you're not active, are you planning to get active?
What's your GMT?
Extra:

In-Game name: TheRoach (You may put other names here if you're using them.)
Are you active? Active/Not really active/Not active. (Now here you should write if you're active or not like the question says, be honest)
How much time do you spend on the servers? Around 1-5 hours. (Just write how much time you spend in the server every day, again be honest)
If you're not active, are you planning to get active? -(Leave it blank or some kind of sign if you're active).
I'm planning to get active soon. (Most likely if you're not really active and you plan to.)
Due to blah blah blah <some random reason why you can't be active> I won't be active this week. (If you're not active, or you have a reason why you're not, again be honest)
What's your GMT? GMT+1 (Your GMT, easy isn't it?)
Extra: None (Here you just write if you got something else you to tell.)

Positives:
- Will check if VIP's are really active or not.
- May increase the VIP activity in total on the servers.

Negatives:
- May reduce the number of VIP members.

Whats the real point of this? Does it really mater if we're active 24/7 or not?

The way i view it is the more VIPS the better doesn't really matter if we're active 24/7 or not because if theres enough of us that means theres going to be atleast one VIP on the servers at any giving time...

The VIPs should be on the servers from time to time, this is going to check if they're on or not, if not they should face removal.
If you're not "good" enough to face the truth and say it by yourself that you can't be on the servers or you don't want to then the admins should do it for you.
That is the point, get active or face removal, new and old players play the server to enjoy it, this why rNd has the VIP rank so they'll check if everything is okay and not reports section on the forums always.
That should be the point of the VIP rank.

Um...no. We all see whether or not the VIPs are online by playing the servers. You can tell activity just by either playing with them, noticing them doing their job, or the oldest method of sending them a message.

We've had inactivity demotions in the past; and I don't see why they won't continue in the future

That's the point of the activity check.

we have vips that are not very active on the forums but do go on the servers still. They still take care of business and do their jobs. All you're going to do with this is create a new step in an already simple process

Honestly my times online are very fluid. I've got like, around 26 hours on Gmod this week, but it's due to my holiday school vacation. Also, I don't really think we need to make a whole thread for VIP activity checking. I'm pretty sure that some admins will check on their own, or even Coolzeldad himself.

Thank you Marie for the sprite.

That is the point, get active or face removal, [/quote]

First, some people have lives and can't be active 24/7
Seconded does it really make any difference if someone is a VIP that isn't active 24/7?

i have no clue what half you post means...

"new and old players play the server to enjoy it, this why rNd has the VIP rank so they'll check if everything is okay and not reports section on the forums always.
That should be the point of the VIP rank."

Are you trying to say the more active we are the less reports admins have to check? if that is the case then that would be false since VIPS also have to make reports to get people perma banned/ couple days since we can only ban for an hour.

And or you also trying to say VIP rank ties into "You're been active for a long time you deserve VIP"

if so i think not, I always felt its not about how long/active you are but how you control yourself and use the rank to make proper calls when you are online to ban/kick properly IMHO its more or a sign of respect to say "We trust you to follow the rules and enforce them"

"If you're not "good" enough"

Really? now your trying to insult my integrity? WOW I'm not even going to comment on that

I will say I don't play as much as i use to or as much i like to but i do try to atleast get 30mins to an hour a night in SH or Fretta (never can get in TTT its always full :() BUT I am usually always available if people need to message me to come kick/ban someone.

Making of the thread will make it easier for the admins.
Also I've seen a lot of VIP's before go "Okay I got my VIP now I don't need to go on the servers."

As I said, its a check if the VIPs really go on the servers.
Like stated it my increase the activity just 'cause the VIP can see the thread and quickly go on to the server to be active and stay VIP.
The admins don't have to go spying on the VIPs to check if they're active or not, the VIP should tell the admin.
Why he can't, why he wants to leave and other stuff.

Shawn, I'm not insulting you, it wasn't meant to do anything against you.
It was an example this thread is not only about you and me.

Over the time I realized that demoting VIPs for inactivity is pointless. There is no gain in this at all.
But if you guys think the otherwise then why exclude admins from this? I thought rules apply to everyone.

Yes that's what I was thinking at first too, but this is just an example.

Sowwy for the doublez post.

When you make a post in response to mine and add "When you're not good enough" I take that as an insult directed towards me

But if you guys think the otherwise then why exclude admins from this? I thought rules apply to everyone.

Becuase we'd lose half the admins

That was meant for the all the VIP's and the members that are going to be, again sorry if its a bit harsh but there is no other way to describe it.

"Okay I got my VIP now I don't need to go on the servers"

Who? Who has done this? I have not seen a single one. Let alone "alot"

We have a VIP board, you know. We do take care of business.
