Low Priority on Dead Island D:

So, I have massive lag on Dead Island and looked up on google how to make it less...Laggy.

One of the suggestions was to set priority to high but when I checked what level it was, it said it was below normal D:

When I tried to put it to high priority it would set back to below normal after I went back in-game.

Anyone help please? ;-;

I'm not sure if this would work, but try closing any background processes. Make sure one of your programs priority is not set to "Real time"

Thank you Marie for the sprite.

I can give you the config files I use.

It disables most of the post processing like motion blue, bloom, depth of field, Lower reso than whats in the settings (800x600), and a few other things to make it run smoother.

Looks like shit, but went from 2-5fps to 25-40.

Check out my Soundcloud for some neat stuff!

If you using steam for Dead Island then it goes like that.

Set priority of Dead Island to high
then
Set priority of GameOverLay(Or wutshisname) to high

also try to lower the graphis or to use the game in windowed mode.
