[Clarification] RnD Members DDoS'ing 4th-Life

Could it be an unintentional reflected ddos? For example we get DDOS'd but we just redirect the packets to someone else?

also none of us would DDOS a server, we get ddosed frequently.

I don't know why we have no custom content, but I can assure you; Those trolls are NOT part of our community (At least, most of them aren't)

Regulars have been getting approved with as little as 5 +1's with no VIPs/admins voting. Most of them are just approved which is why I'm deciding to keep an eye on them, this is an example of why they shouldn't be approved as easily as they are right now, they are giving our community the impression we are full of trolls.

@Super, I thought that we would have to be getting DDos'd at the same time to reflect it, or am I wrong? We haven't been DDos'd in the past few days so....Yeah... Nevermind, if we already got DDos'd I think we've already been compromised. Which means they can do it at any time...Right?

No, no, no. The people who DDos us take some sorta control and MAKE us redirect it to somebody else.

Pretty much, they would be using us to DDos other communities, I am 70% sure I'm wrong though, I don't like studying the thing that is fking up my our server play-time.

BECAUSE APPARENTLY NO ONE HAS COME TO THIS CONCLUSION OR STATED IT:

RND is a large gaming community that is very successful and often highly populated.
Most people will, when first joining a game, search for servers with larger player count thinking they will be better. Since RND is one of those, a lot of people will just come around to check out RND. Point: RND is fairly well known, and successful. People tend to always think that what they like and what they do is the best, so seeing as RND is one of the more successful and larger communities, some will automatically have a small hate towards it, just because they think their shit is better because it's what they started on or it's what they like. So, it's natural for people to start rumors and shit about other communities like RND for those reasons. The truth is though, that RND is one of the very most friendly and nice communities there are. Trolls and what not don't last here.

Like Deacon said usually the trolls are people that never go on the forums nerveless the community

And also in relation of sabbs post he is right.

If you want to figure out if the ip's are rNd members what I would do is pm coolzeldad and ask him if any of the ips relate to our player base, and I assure you that those members will be dealt with in a proper manor.

If anyone has any information about anyone attacking or threatening to attack rNd or its members they are instructed to contact me and report it anyway they can in as much detail as possible.

Also, if I was aware of any information regarding attacks I would do my best to share that information.

Hello, I'm Kruel Kramer. But, that name is now out of date. My alias is Archemyde, and i co-own the 4th-Life community.
Lately, our ZS server has been having TREMENDOUS lag and constant crashing. After a week of investigation, we had come to find out that it was not the server's fault We were barely using any of our resources. The only other explanation was DDoS. Now, there have been numerous rumors and reports that the members of RnD Have been DDoSing our server. i came here to figure out whether or not this is true, And if so, to find out the reason why this is happening. Can any of you shed light on this topic?

Just a question, does gog server people play on 4th-Life server?

We would never attempt to do something such as that, and if we ever found out one of our members were doing it, they would recieve a nice perma-ban.

I never knew that some of the [4L] members disliked rNd, I actually thought the opposite due to the fact there are a lot of them on here. We don't dislike them either, may you please ask those people where they got their sources? If they have no evidence, there is no reason to suspect us. You've never done anything to us, and we've never done anything to you as far as I know.

and yes, we HAVE been getting DDos'd a shitload for the past 2 months (I think).  That's why we take it so seriously.

Sorry for your server getting DDoS'd, You can assure it was not us as we have to fend off DDoS ourselves

And yes a lot of players do hate on a server when they get banned for something when they don't read the rules
