ALERT! Bill S.978 Will SHUT DOWN Gaming Videos and Streams EVERYWHERE

So basically the American bill is to make any streaming of copyright content, meaning video game playthroughs, let's play, movie clips, music, etc as a felony and with a fine in the thousands of dollars. This includes footage in the form of youtube videos

That's stupid.
Making such videos is a great way of person to person advertising and gets the word out about games and developments, so gaming industries can lose a lot of profit.
Without this I wouldn't have found Gmod.

Even though this bill is utter crap,
it only applies to people who earn more than 2500$ a year over their streams.

AND streams are not fully disallowed even then, people will just have to get a license from the developers/publishers of that game.

The problem is, that if the developers make a shit game, and they dont want anyone showing footage of it explaining why it is shit (by professional game critics), they wont allow it. So, this is still a problem

From what Rocket said, did it remind any of you guys of Duke Nukem Forever? People said it was going to be an awesome game and when the reviews came out they were horrible, so less people bought it...

I signed up for emails from demandprogress.org, I email congressmen regularly, sign petitions. Known about this for a month or so now.
