Renaming VIP to Moderator?

Moderator seems like a good fit.

Moderate - /Verb/ to reduce the excessiveness of; make less violent, severe, intense, or rigorous.
Isn't this what VIP's do?

Nope, because a true mod wouldn't need the lower ranks to vote to moderate.

Everyone seems to confuse this for the group (Moderator). The only point there would be to change the name, is to better discern the different between a VIP and a Regular. The first thing that would come to anyones mind is a Donor.

It's not a big issue, it's just something that can be done to help newcomers.








And as said before, this was only a light suggestion, and there seems to be a lot of mixed opinions.

i actually dont believe thats what vips do, vips are selected individuals who enjoy playing the servers who if the chance come across an issue.. deal with it

they dont go around sourcebans banning and determining their time

People are gonna think VIP's are Admins, Moderators nowadays are mostly known as admins.

Well, Moo said it himself he thinks that a name change could be good, just not necessary "Moderator". Any ideas as to what would better convey the Job of a VIP aside from "VIP"?

VIP=can kick,ban(vote)
Mod=Can kick,ban,changemap,slay,mute(Vote)thats what i hope moderator for.

What about VIP? Because there isn't any other name that works. VIP doens't exactly mean power. And all others that imply power don't imply the necessity of votes to do their job.
