Alright, I've listened enough of " hurr fall 3 feet *explode* durr" crap.

I'm going to tell how exactly the fall damage works in zs and other gamemodes.

You can't and you won't die by falling off 3 feet height unless you will jump off a prop (box etc..).
There is a certain height limit that you will survive if you jump off.

Also it depends ALOT if you crouch or jump(hit space) before falling the height.
Zombies, ladders and such things also might effect your jump.

So if you want to blame your fall death on something, blame it on gmod physics.

Okay, if I recall correctly, it's been said that coolz set the mp_falldamage to 9001 for teh lulz, right?

It's not even normally supposed to be that much, so why are people fighting to keep it like this?

Fall damage isn't 9001. When you are normal zombie and you fall a certain height you lose about +100 health,
same thing is with the humans because I have survived fall from the height which usually kills you when I had last human health boost.

Fall damage isn't 9001. When you are normal zombie and you fall a certain height you lose about +100 health,
same thing is with the humans because I have survived fall from the height which usually kills you when I had last human health boost.

Yeah, the best example is still fear_tower... that high doesnt kills normal humans, it will just hurt as shit... *rofl*

Setting it back to normal OR the HL2 Settings with the height could be the solution.

I don't see anything wrong with that.

You don't suppose to jump down like you mentioned, and that height is not 3 feet.

There are little thingies on the sides of that chute-like passage that you are suppose to jump on.

The whole 3 feet thing is IMPOSIBLE unless you're jumping off a prop.

Or how about surviving a fall from the top as a fastie, but exploding from a fall only half that height?  That REALLY pissed me off, made being pushed off the walls even less predictable.  >_<

If you lunge as fastie, when you reach the ground you won't take any fall damage.
If you just simply jump down then you'll die(if you are high enough).
