Japan Airlines Flight 123 Crashed on August 12th, 1985 killing 520 people out of 524 on board. It was the deadliest Airline disaster in history. The following is the final voice recording seconds before the crash. (Mayday warnings and "Pull Up!" Warnings are heard at the end along with the crash itself.)

There were actually much more survivors. The American Marines in the nearby Yokota Air Base were the first to respond. They discovered the Crash Site, and asked permission from the Japanese Government to rescue the survivors. For what ever idiotic fucking reason, they refused, so the Marines headed back. The Japanese then assembled a Rescue team, but they did not want to go during night. (They were a mere 60 km away from the crash site.) By the time they actually started rescuing, most of the survivors froze to death. (The plane crashed near Mt. Fuji, just 100 km away from Tokyo.) All the survivors were being cushioned by something during the crash. 2 out of 4 of them were children, and I think all were women.

Jesus that was scary.

That's why I'd like to prefer transportation by car or train.

You do know that there are by far more train and car crashes than there are plane crashes, so in fact, it's safer to travel by plane than by car/train.

Oh no, how can they not allow an enemy marine force that dropped two nuclear bombs on them earlier into their own territory.
._.

It is a sad thing, but there's like 4 plane crashes a year. How about we look at all the planes that DIDN'T crash?

Please tell us, oh great knowledgeable one,

Train crashes aren't that likely, like you portray them. A train is fixed to it's rails, it won't go off in a random direction unless it derails. If a retard rail worker decides to throw a switch track which leads to another speeding train, that's a majority of crashes right there.

Car crashes do happen, so that's a factor.

But if you are in a plane thats liek, 40000+ ft in the air, and something goes wrong...you're fucked unless the pilot's can emergency land it. If you crash into a mountain like the JAL 123, you don't have such a great chance of survival.
