I still think you should get a better heatsink for the CPU, but it's your choice.
With a NH-D14 (or the flat version of it if you want to be sure it fits) would let you reach atleast 4.5GHz on that CPU with good temps. If you'll get a good chip you'll be able to go above 5GHz.

Although I understand if you don't really care about a high CPU OC since you only have 1 GPU so it barely bottlenecks it anyway.

If you get those Ram with those long heat spreaders, it can block an aftermarket cooler, which you will need for your 2500k.

I know several people who have Windows 8, and they all hate it. I've used it some on my dad's laptop and it is garbage (relative to 7), I'd just get 7 or wait for the kinks to get worked out with 8. I would've gone with a higher wattage PSU. Looks good otherwise.

Say what you want, but I love Windows 8 for a number of reasons.

Because I didn't pay for it, My dad got it for me during Christmas, I didn't go with the 3570k because of temperature issues I've heard from it, would it matter which processor I get for it? They both have the same socket support...

Peformance wise, they are about the same because Sandy can overclock higher, but Ivy has more performance per clock speed.

I don't really plan on overclocking, if I do, I may go to the 3570k.

Uh, I might wanna be a bit careful about the WD hard drive. They have a habit of corrupting somehow as time moves on.
i have a caviar green from 2008 and it still works fine.

however, i had some problems in the past and i had to reinstall windows but not sure if it was a memory problem or a hdd problem.
