I shall call her...I don't know, halp?
Shut up about Windows 8, I like it, so fuck off.

It's 95% done...just need small stuff like Mouse, keyboard, and OS...

Uh, I might wanna be a bit careful about the WD hard drive. They have a habit of corrupting somehow as time moves on.

Hey, I heard gigabyte stepped up their quality with the newer mobos but I recommend getting the next version up in that z77 line http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128545 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128545) , you get a few more bells and whistles for 30 usd more or w/e.. i think worth it as mobo is what everythings built off of.

Also, if you are goin with a graphics that costs that much, might as well go with the latest line.. only 80 more bux w/e http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130768 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130768) or go with something cheaper from the 500 series.. or even amd ati card.

Should have enough room in the case you chose.. seems like decent case.

Question is, are you planning on dual or tri sli? if not you could easily get away with a 750watt psu, maybe 850 just to be sure with that fermi card. If you are planning to tho, that 1200 psu looks really nice, gold so high efficiency etc. Plus its modular so that's nice, and it also claims a 98amp 12v rail so.. that's ample quality power to your components.

For the cooling unit for the processor, i would go a step up with the evo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099) you want something that can be reliable over time and decent bang for buck.. plus i heard latest i7 line runs hotish.

And damn, nice cpu.. wish i had a build with that xD

For ram, you can get the same performance while using less voltage.. 1.5V less.. which can save you some heat probably. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314) and its a little cheaper! :)

Also, just a small note.. you don't really need a mic if you get a headset.. as it has one included.. difference between headset and headphones + mic

Edit:// Oh and i forgot the harddrives, this normally becomes the performance bottle neck for new systems.. you might want to invest into maybe raid0 with 10krpm western ditigal raptors.. or even do a ssd for the OS and that wd drive for storage and programs.. but yea that'll be where you'll want your first upgrades if you don't end up changing it when building.

Why so much power? A good Seasonic 620W or Corsair AX650W will be more than enough for this system.
Seems like you're going to overclock your CPU so you should get a proper heatsink. Since you'll have spare money 'cause of the PSU you can get a Noctua NH-D14, which leads me to suggest you to change the case to this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352010 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352010)     It's also better and the big NH-D14 will deffinately fit inside.

Also found a cheaper RAM with better overclocking headroom (lower voltage) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314)

I also suggest you get a GTX 670 instead of a 580, because it's stronger, takes less power, newer and costs cheaper/the same. If you're going to overclock, this version would be the best - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127685 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127685)

If not then this one (Which will also be a good overclocker) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423)

If you have money left I also advise you get an SSD. Even 64GB would be an improvement.

@Coolz - If he ain't gonna do SLI he won't really need a UD5 board. GTX 680 is just about 5-7% better and costs more.
If he's planning on doing SLI it's true that he'll need a good, minimum 750W PSU.

I brake headsets easily, so I prefer desktop mics.
But Damn, I wasnt expecting all this info, but it still helped!
Thanks.

Errything is good except for the headset.

You should get a pair of headphones with a seperate mic, much better value, especially for that price.

are you only going to game with them or is it like 50% music 50% gaming?

I found one that fits your needs, there are two of them to choose though.

One comes with some extra stuff (ear cushions made of velour, extra things, etc) for $134

One just comes with the headphones and nothing much else for $90

Fucking beautiful.
Just get a good microphone and great headphones. Headsets are overrated unless you use them 2/3 of the time you're on PCs. Plus, you can use headphones for other devices.

yep.

I plan on getting a pair of those. My old headphones cloned the design of them but had different sound.

I'm not sure about the i7...
When building, please, mount the Hyper 212's plates on, and not after you have finished everything.
It becomes a real fucking bitch to steady into all sides of the mobo.

Power isn't what's going to help you run games at fluid rate lol. If you'll get that I7 + GTX 670, even after overclocking you won't use 620W, it will just be a waste of money unless you're planning on SLI and then you'll need to get a different motherboard and 750W will be enough.
I forgot to write that if you aren't going to use intensive graphics programs/video editing, etc. and just going to game, you won't need an I7 because you'll barely see any difference. Also, you took a CPU for overclocking, but I see you're keeping that heatsink. If you aren't going to OC that CPU you better get the one without a K and save yourself money.

I also see you changed the GPU. The GPU is the component that is going to affect your gaming the most and there's a pretty damn big difference between a GTX 550Ti and a GTX 670. I would downgrade nearly every other component before down grading the GPU to save money.

Haha, what?
The Superlux completely copied the design, but the AKG wins by 1000%. But The AKG is $80 and Superlux is $30.

Left, Superlux, right AKG.

How much is all that gona cost?  I need to get a new desktop that is ell suited for gaming, especially to keep my laptop in tact / for programming and work work, and asde from going with an nVidia card [probably a geForce 630 like in my laptop] that looks more than adequate for my usage.  :D

I've got these ones, which may not be the best of the best, but they pack a punch for their low low price (<$20).

Funny, I'm not buying everything at once, maybe like 3 parts a month, it's going to be a bitch, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Also, Since apparently the Superlux Headphones are cheaper, I might go with that instead of the AKG.

Downgrade to a 3570k unless you plan on video editing. Downgrade the PSU to a tx750 and upgrade to a 7870 or 660 ti(when they come out) with the money you have saved.

I'd advise to get the Superlux HD668b instead of the 681.

I will say the Superlux are a bit uncomfortable.

You don't need to spend so much on a damn processor. An i5 is absolutely fine. It actually benchmarks higher than the i7 in a lot of instances.
Usually you would balance your processor and video card power to get better results (or so I have heard)
Save some cash and maybe put it towards a better case, or a Razer Deathadder mouse. It is just fantastic.

Still can run crisis on max and battle field three

Not like you'll be paying twice as fucking much for such a big ass rip-off of a card which will barely fit in the case, will bottleneck and rape your power supply which has to be upgraded for such trash.

I still think you should get a better heatsink for the CPU, but it's your choice.
With a NH-D14 (or the flat version of it if you want to be sure it fits) would let you reach atleast 4.5GHz on that CPU with good temps. If you'll get a good chip you'll be able to go above 5GHz.

Although I understand if you don't really care about a high CPU OC since you only have 1 GPU so it barely bottlenecks it anyway.

I know several people who have Windows 8, and they all hate it. I've used it some on my dad's laptop and it is garbage (relative to 7), I'd just get 7 or wait for the kinks to get worked out with 8. I would've gone with a higher wattage PSU. Looks good otherwise.

Because I didn't pay for it, My dad got it for me during Christmas, I didn't go with the 3570k because of temperature issues I've heard from it, would it matter which processor I get for it? They both have the same socket support...
