At most, if we DID try this, give it 2 bullets. I would prefer 1.

TTT needs more weapons for all teams in general.

We'll never add this OP traitor weapon to the server, end of discussion.

"End of discussion" = pompous - you don't decide when it ends or not - especially since the idea can be crafted, worked on without being entirely discarded to make it less OP.


I still say we should have as a T weapon jihad bombs [and still say those claiming it is OP can't substantiate that point at all]

I don't really care, but giving it 4 shots would be overpowered as fuck, simply because that'd mean if you're halfway competent you get 5 free kills as traitor.

If there are 4 traitors in an 18-player game, that leaves 14 innocents to be killed. If they all get 4 barrett kills plus a knife, they can easily take out the entire server with nothing but basic tactical skill.

2 shots, means 3 instant kills counting the knife which translates to 12 total on a full server.


I say one shot.

However, letting the traitors buy a normal barrett with normal ammo pickup and normal damage wouldn't be so bad.

After a little (really, not that much) consideration, I think the only surefire way to know what's balanced and what's not is to test it.

Not a single person who's said no has given any argument except for the fact that they think it's overpowered.

Figure I can give a few. As for the whole keep damage the same but ability to scavenge ammo idea with the barret it would still be a crap weapon I know personally I would never purchase the thing it's too loud does too little damage is way to conspicuous in general having to crouch to use it and all the gigantic recoil it's just BAD so that would be too U.P. and thus defeat the purpose of adding another weapon in the first place if no one's going to use it for the aforementioned reason. As for increasing the damage to 100 that's ridiculous think of it this way 4 t's 14 innos each T gets a knife kill guaranteed that's -4 innos we're now down to 10 innos now even if this sniper only had one shot at one shot kill thats still another guaranteed kill aka -4 more innos and we're down to 6 innos if only one shot is given still 6 innos remaining and under good circumstance only one or two of the t's revealed the innos get bent over by the remaining t's because though they used their equipment they most likely still have the element of surprise this will happen over and over again however do not fear! I propose a third option certain servers on CSS have it so that only one awp can be given per team well what if we made it so only one barret (which does 2000 damage with only one shot) can be given to a traitor team? Once a traitor has purchased this weapon his T buddies no longer have the option. I have no idea how this could be coded or what would have to be done just food for thought.

This is like a long range knife, only louder.

I have seen this on other servers, anyone able to point and click can get easy kills. It is overpowered and unnessesary. This is simply a bad idea unless we are turning TTT into stronghold. How would you like to be killed without retaliation across any distance?

Anyhow, it looks like I'm not going to have to give an in-depth analysis into how it's bad due to the feedback.

Personally, I don't think traitors need something like this right now. Seems balanced as is.

If we got something else for the detective MAYBE we could consider adding something else for traitors.

Why would a long range knife be loud even though it doesn't make any sense unless you want it to have the sound level as a gun/silencer

The only thing I think would be bad about this is that you can easily just pull it out and no-scope somebody that's walking towards you.

But of course I know that we're probably going to take the crosshairs off.
