Why is it that everyone has been in such a buggy mood lately involving the servers or other things such as that?
Every time something actually FUN is attempted to be brought into the TTT server I've seen it get shut down or reported. People no longer joke around and just try to get pissed off at each other at every chance they get, they try to undermine everyone they can and just generally act like assholes. I'm not calling names because it's been a majority of people. It's like at this point everyone is just trying to find all the bad things about someone and just completely throw them out there as much as possible.
I really hope this doesn't have to be locked or binned. Just no arguments, name-calling, sarcastic fuckery, or anything of that sort.
It seems like those days when we could actually fuck around with everyone being friends with each other is just completely gone

Well, I guess that COULD be a reason for some people, but there's not really a reason to bring that here and make negative comments and feelings towards others.

Well okay, that could be a valid reason.
When I was a regular and an admin was fucking around with others, I just learned that's the way they were and just ignored it.
If a MAJORITY of the server didn't like what someone was doing, then the admins would stop. In a recent case involving a game in richs, I just recall two people being bothered by it while the rest of the players just ignored it or played around with it. (Fairly certain this is the case which was being referred to)
It's still possible to ignore, mute, and just not pay attention to what's happening and still play the game. Not like you're being rocketed and slapped into the air 24/7

I actually tried reviving that one moment where everybody was friends back in 2009 on ZS but so much things has been going on with everybody hating on each other which isn't even funny anymore..

In a more cryptic/sarcastic way I said that he (and other people as well) goes and says dumb jokes that are continuously repeated daily, but when someone else does something like that in TTT, "wownopesomadgtfo" I just don't get it. How can you be annoyed/angered by something you also do yourself? In simpilar terms I am calling him a hypocrite.

We've had these discussions before. The jokes get old, the people grow apart, old interests abandoned for new. People are becoming bitter because they are no longer having fun, so they try to point their fingers at something/someone. Add into that a new player base we are not accustomed to, and lack of control on the server(s), and it's easy to feel were losing control.
People just need to understand that things, people, change. You do too, no reason to hate for that.

Yeah.
I've noticed a lot of members go through a sort of "phase" about a year after being here where they feel that everything has changed too much and it's not the same as what made them join in the first place.
At that point, they either leave and are forgotten, or stay and try to put up with it.
There's no real way to get over that. Most people I've seen just take a break from the community. Leave for a few months, then come back.
Others do their best to keep things the way they remember it, but just because of how the world works, their efforts are futile.

We barely even play on our own servers anymore.
We've been reduced to playing the occasional game together, and even then we do it in separate groups. We've officially reached the point where there's too many people for the people that are here to be able to get along with each other when there's ten other people to hang out with. In short, we've made like a high school and made cliques. The community has also gone on long enough for each of us to have our own history here, and plenty of us have had more than one negative experience with each other, poisoning our opinions.
There are a few things that could legitimately fix this, but it'll need cooperation. Something like a large number of us playing ZS or TTT. The problem is none of us WANTS to play any of the servers we have up ATM because they're horrendous. New ZS is easily cool, but it would be so much better if it had some of the things that made old ZS great in it. And don't get me started on TTT.
There's one thing that could help fix the solution, and that's fixing the karma system. I will play our servers 5ever if we had a better karma system.

the first time i joined the rNd servers somewhere in mid 2010 with a diff steam acc,
the only server i played then was flood.
now i didin't even know there were other servers back then but my first experiences in flood were not quite that pleasant...
there were allways mingebags/douchebags you name it,
correct me if im wrong but somewhere at that time i think votekick was broken for respected members or something
so people just cept minging and being complete dicks.
Then abit later on i had discovered ZS,
There i rarely saw someone being a complete prick or minging
then i left gmod for awhile and started playing CSS,CA and shit like that.
when i came back with a new steam acc(i had forgotten my pass) somewhere in early-mid 2011,things were much different,
people were friendly to eachother(with the occasional asshole in the server)they were joking around,if an arguement they got over it quickly
then came the day i had offended some russians and got banned which then i discovered the Forums,
i was amazingly interrested in everyones behavior on the forums,sure there was an arguement now and then but everyone got over it,
i've had alot of laughs while in the forums,when i realized that i started to love this community
sometime after i became (Reg) people got more and more aggresive
there was allways the guys that ware calling out the russians and insulting them (i had learned to respect the russians)
there was too many people accused for hacking,hackers came often,people that i don't even know that hated the community
(that shit above happened before too but not that much)
even i was starting to get too cocky,
i started insulting people,got into arguement's,allmost everything others did(except minging and hacking)
then came the day i became too much of an asshole and everyone kind of lost respect for me
so i left for like 5-7 mounths to think everything over.
well now that im back even you guys seem abit off

It should get better when the regular servers start again along with the sourcebans. Hopefully this will encourage VIPs/Admins to get on more.
As for right now, I think that players are getting tired of constant rule breaking, so they are getting much less tolerant towards the "joking around" stuff.

It's not about the servers though, that's the thing. The most of the drama/issues is simply people exaggerating tiny problems to make huge issues out of it and constantly bringing it up when ever they can, including on the servers, rather than just ignoring the person and not purposely trying to start more issues. People like drama, so I really don't see that changing.

I understand it's fun for the two of you but it's a bit hard to ignore the two of you flying around the map with newtons and knives whilst the rest of the players are actually trying to play the game. A good portion of people join TTT to have fun not by fucking around but by playing the game, when you interfere with the game you're ruining their fun and they get mad it's pretty simple.

It's even caused one of them to become completely inactive and just not want to deal with it anymore. This might just be me, but I feel that when coolz had to stop hosting and other people took over, losing some of the other servers made them lose their purpose for playing and they reluctantly switched over to the other rNd servers that they did not enjoy very much for various reasons (i.e. trolls, TTT traitor bait leading to major karma loss, etc.) and they have started to try and tolerate it; when they do, however, they lose their patience and start to get pissed off because they are not used to the type of stuff like other server specific regulars. One example might be me on TTT not losin' karma to a traitor bait, like a proven inno suddenly pulling a knife, unlike a person who might have just started.
TL;DR-Losing certain servers made them switch over reluctantly to the other available (mostly TTT) and they try to put up with it, can't, and get pissy.

Well I think the reason is that people want to play the game as it was intended. This usually happens with large groups though (full server) although if there are a few cool people in the server (like around 8 regular people) then you could have something fun going on. We were playing C4 roulette for the lols.

Some players in the TTT server need to get back into line. Some of new players and trolls are screwing around more than ever. Shockah kicked 3 or 4 players within one damn round. And these trolls just keep piling up.
Now, for players within the entire community, come together and play some games. Left 4 Dead, CS. whatever. Just get to know each other better, sort yourselves out if you think something's wrong. I myself am going to do a lot more mapping, and hopefully make something enjoyable. But anyway, things like these will take time getting used to.

Do you see insulting or shit slinging of ANY sort in this thread going on like the others? Personally this one has gone a LOT better than most others and we're actually coming to conclusions as to these problems rather than someone just making threads like "OMG COMMUNITY IS DYING" or "STOP BEING LITTLE BITCHES"
Even from the 3 latest posts right now it hasn't started in an argument like it always does. Like back then when people made those posts, someone would point it out, play along with it and move on with the thread.
