help with lag please :(

I have low ping all the time, around 40 - 90.
But, I find myself lagging really bad. I thought it was the server but smasters confirmed he wasnt lagging and everyone said they werent either.
Well, before this started happening, proudly told me to put in this code "-high" in the games library>right click garrymod>properties>set launch options..
Since then garrysmod has been lagging with my low ping..
How do I fix this :(

Check to see if you are not downloading anything, or running virus scan, or any shit like that.

Yeah I checked everything. I have good connection too, I even deleted the thing proudly told me to copy and paste into set launch options.
doesnt work.
somethings wrong with my gmod.
It's just gmod that lags. not css or zombie panic source.
Just gmod :/

Try putting

-low

in it, idk never tried iet, what excactly -high meant to do??

-high Makes the hl2.exe process on a higher priority.

This can be unsafe because your GPU needs some CPU as well. But when it is set to a higher priority it can use most of your CPU just to compute physics objects, which will take alot of CPU being that Garry's Mod is a CPU hog. All in all dropping the amount of CPU available to your GPU and other things.
