For me at least, the benefits win7 would give me over vista is not worth it.

Vista in its current state on my computer, has been quite stable and fast. And best of all, my programs all have good support for it; that and I'd rather not mess with some of my rather expensive software licenses that I have.

I will agree with you Win7 is certainly better than Vista, however it is not so much better as to justify me spending money and a lot of time to upgrade to win7.

The suggestion for me to downgrade to XP however, was a terrible one. For one, due to some of my software, and some of my hardware, I would be forced to spend money to buy the 64 version of win XP. Which that version, is pretty crappy, due to its instability, poor support.

So I do not think I will upgrade to Win7, I'd prefer to get my money's worth out of vista, and wait till Win8, or 9 rolls along.

Generally, its a good idea to, if you feel there is some giant flaw in the idea, suggest someway to improve it to mitigate the flaw. Rather than just say its flawed. (Granted there are ideas that are simply terrible)

And yes when the server is full of fools, it is generally hard to fool proof anything. 

i can name 2 reasons
not epic
too strict
and then the other reasons people think of
but i find you kind of annoying because when ur in wire build we cant do as much as we could if sniffles or moo or coolzdad were in the server
meaning your non epic and to strict
i wouldent say i hate you but your not my favorite admin

Let's see the only things that I tend to universally not allow is: balls of steel (and its variants), and I prefer people to use their own itunes rather than play horribly scratchy sounds over the mic, I don't allow effects spamming, And I also tend to frown upon people harassing others while they are trying to work.

Well if none of us are on, and your situation is completely dire, ask for a respected member? Considering we are rapidly approaching a thousand, I think you could scrounge up enough kicks for them all.

The whole purpose of this idea is to prevent flippant kicks/bans, it adds a small measure of consequence that will make members a bit more lenient, rather than spamming the vote-ban for every little transgression.

And if this still doesn't seem like a good idea, then only limit the amount of bans players can do. Because currently respected users don't show any differentiation between kicking and banning, when the whole purpose of the ban is to be a higher form of punishment, not the first course of action.
