Sleeper id give ls 3 a good look.
as far as I know ls 2 is buggy and laggy. it may be easy enough to modify ls 3 and create an addon for it that produces the resources you want.

IPs would be a temporary security once an account is set up you only need the pass word. The hard part would be setting it up so we know the client and server are not bullshiting each other.
