another karma thread

i know there's been 1000 threads about the TTT karma system, but most of those are about losing 400+ karma for killing another innocent, and taking hours to earn it back
just thinking though, what if the reward for killing a T was increased, would give more incentive to try to kill a t, and also a chance to earn a significant amount of karma back

discuss.

The only thing I see bad about that is the possibility of people becoming more willing to kill afk's.
"If he's Inno, I won't lose any karma (because I don't have any) but if he's T, I'll be able to kill with a 1-shot shotgun!"

I disagree, the karma system should not be changed. While it can be annoying at times, it ultimately keeps RDMers away and people are FORCED to use common sense.

Uh, no.

RDM is the same and, if anything, even more rampant and has a worse consequence. And it's not more "common sense" than it is "being too scared of wasting three hours of bringing karma up should that guy who stabbed an Inno maybe NOT be a traitor".

I disagree. If that guy stabs an inno, and is NOT a traitor, report his ass. He'll either learn or never come back. Its not really quite so bad as everyone makes it seem.

I used the knifing thing as an example of a situation where you're 110% sure somebody's a traitor and you still don't kill him because you don't want to waste three hours. RND TTT isn't even fun anymore. The point of TTT is to gamble, and the karma system has removed that.

This is pretty much the reason I don't play RND TTT anymore :v

Another problem with the karma system is that the rounds just DRAG OUT SO LONG becuase people just sit around talking, drawing out the round, becuase they're too afraid to kill anyone whose blatantly a T.

The karma system just makes it easier to troll/grief.

> Minge
"Oh, I'll just do really stupid shit and RDM this guy"
> Me
"He's killing people. Must be a T."
> I kill minge
"LOLITROLU"
> He leaves and never comes back
> I spend the next 3 hours regaining my karma.

asdafgh. If they RDM, they won't come back, regardless if the karma system is strict or not.

The point of TTT is to gamble, and the karma system has removed that.

I disagree with this though.

It really makes no sense to me that I can tell the difference between a traitor and a douchebag, and it makes even less sense to me how you all cannot regain karma quickly.

I say we keep karma loss the same.
But increase the karma regeneration rate by 25-50%

Trust me, it will make things better.

Er, what?

> Ask in text (with CAPS) or yell at him for having a knife.
> Other person proceeds to ignore me and/or continues to make a move towords other players. In this case the detective.
> I kill knife-wielder.

I have seen one instances where that person is Innocent, the one time it happened he was later banned for ghosting. (Not that this happened on RnD servers.)

What does that have to do with anything? If your claiming that you have nothing in there you could simply have removed it, took the picture, then put it back.

Look at the modification date.
Last it was modified was the 17, long before this thread was even made.
And Deacon's not like that, so yeah.

Look at the modification date. It shows he last edited in the 17, long before the thread was made.
And I don't think Deacon would do that.

what i meant...

It is fucking obvious that is everyone is alive and someone got a knife... he is a T.

2 days ago i just walked by with a knife and everyone was so scared of losing karma that they just waited until i knifed the D in the face
