Actually it kind of isn't.

Just like you can extend the time for an app if you feel it should, you can also shorten it if you do.

I think it's best to keep the app open for at least closer to 7 days just to get other's opinions/reasoning. Just saying.

Extending time on an app isn't a "feel it should" thing, it happens when an applicant is reeeaaally close to being approved, like needing one more +1.

I don't think it should ever be shortened, especially not by four days.
Except of course on people demoted for inactivity.
