Now you're missing my point.
Publishers dont want to do that because that would mean a sweeping change of production lines across the country just for their own usage. This means money spent on design, training, and mass building of new machines that put data into a custom disc rather than a standard CD, which are what the companies have and are used to.
And you're not getting it after they have that in place they would make more money then they are now
Think about it they lose millions on games because people are just downloading them. For a $30 game if only 1000 people downloaded it thats $30,000 they just lost and i can promise you that more then 1000 people download games. i just looked at ONE torrent for Dead island and it got over 9,000 downlaods already and theres like 20 other torrents that have like 5,000 downloads and thats a $50 game.
You gotta spend money to make money, any business person would tell you that.
