What would be the difference in performance for that? The quad core vs. hex core... why is the quad faster, why is the hex "better"
in both short term and long term, please
Like what with Supertoaster stated, if your friend is devoting the PC toward gaming and if he plays a lot of games, you don't really need to worry about the CPU much since it only makes up like 20% of the performance. It's your graphics card that does all of the heavy shit and determines the performance.
In various benchmark tests I've read about and looked at, the quad core is actually faster than the hex core in gaming terms. The hex core is if your friend balances multitasking a long with gaming. I don't know why it is that, just I think AMD focused the hex core on more multitasking.
Just if you're going to want to save the $50 and keep it under $750 exactly, might as well get the faster CPU while at it. But that doesn't mean that the hex is shitty. You wouldn't really notice the difference between the two. I just pointed that out in-case if Snivy's bundle goes over the limit and you have to find some other combo/pick out parts individually.
