Nice overuse of lol. And I don't think they didn't lose half of their potential PC fanbase because they only have Windows XP.

You know, even though it still may be reliable, Windows XP is 9-10 years old now. That's almost as if you're saying "Why the fuck won't Crysis work on mah Windows 2000/98". Seriously, technology changes over time, Frostbite 2 probably uses features that you can't get with Windows XP.

Unless you upgrade, you're going to encounter a lot of problems in PC's modern gaming.

It's because Frostbite 2 requiered DX10.1 minimum, and WinXP only goes up to dx9.

Which is a pain in the ass because mine supports DX10, but not 10.1 :l

My friend also had a problem with ATI drivers on XP, they would simply fail to install for no reason. He did a complete wipe of the hard drive and tried again with no luck, but upgrading to 7 fixed it.

Maybe you just under use the word? Of course it means A lost of clients, out of 100 gamers i know only like 20 of them updated because last time windows came out with an update it was a complete and utter failure (Windows vista) now people just stick to what works or they can't afford to update so thats 80 people they just lost.

In the last ten years this is the first time I've come across a game that i might play and i can't! so I'm not too concerned I'm not going to waste another $1,000+ just to get a $50 game.

When i upgrade i don't just buy the CD I buy a whole new computer "because thats how i rollz" But srsly if you're going to update you're better off buying new hardware at the same time.
