Hurricane Irene

So, anybody else keeping track of this?  Yesterday the Weather Channel said it would intensify, which it is in the process of doing, and say it is getting even stronger ... now they're saying the track of the storm is changing enough so the northeast - NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, etc - may possibly get hit with Irene still a Cat. II making it the worst storm seen in decades.

I gotta have my video camera ready.  This could be awesome - though a little un-nerving especially since I was supposed to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in forever, which would be impossible if the down we live in gets decimated. ~_~

First the earthquake in the East side, now the hurricane. I have no clue whats going on.

This might as well ruin my vacation.

I'm a bit nervous.  I don't know how long it has been since we've received more than just a glancing blow from a hurricane above cat. I in NY.

I'm in SC, but I'm in the Upstate, so I should be fine.
Hope it's nothing too serious for anyone else though...

Not to be a dick but I love it how everywhere around the world people die, there's floods, earthquakes and a bunch of shit, yet in my neighborhood nothing ever happens.

Anyways, I hope you stay safe. Good luck!

Thank you Marie for the sprite.

Well, I live in California so I have absolutely no idea what its like. Those shake-weight things are actually made from soil in California, did you know that?

On a serious note; I hope this storm wont be so bad, as long as it doesn't start heading towards the gulf or warmer waters.....  :-\

Looks like by the time it gets here, currently speaking, it may be bad enough for evacuations.  Part of me hopes that if it is that bad that I get the adrenaline rush to stay with my video camera and catch it all.   ;D

If you think this hurricane will be a destructive force, then leave this thread right know. All it will be for most area's is a couple thunderstorms and heavy rain. Atleast what i predict.

I live somewhere in that red dot I made.

Look it's barely hitting us.
This is supposed to be tomorrow.
