I didn't even know there were already crates 26+ so I don't think they've been around long? Probably worth a scrap each or a weapon.

New crates are continuing to drop. Therefore, as supply goes up, demand goes down, and the price goes down rapidly.

Old crates have stopped dropping. Therefore, as supply stays the same, demand will slowly go up, and the price goes up gradually.

OLDER crates have stopped dropping for a long time, and the price is already high.

tl;dr new crates are either not worth anything, or rapidly declining in value.

No, you haven't.

That's why low-number crates are worth the most.

That, and they have the highest chance of a good item.

Increasing quantity supplied means quantity demanded goes down. Demand is a function (a line) on a graph, as is supply.

Easy mistake though.
