Why did you buy it? Because it looked different? Right? Well it turned out to be a piece of shit. Stop saying Battlefield 3 will stomp on MW3. I will say this though, Battlefield 3's graphics stomp on MW3 graphics. And sticking to one engine isn't bad... look at the source engine, it's been the same engine from all those different games yet they are still good.

I bought black ops, honestly because all of my friends online via xbox were playing it..

Oh yea, that's true. Haha I usually do that too. If I see all my friends playing it constantly, I usually get it. And if I have enough friends on Battlefield 3, I will get that too. Along with MW3.

I have no problem with Microsoft's success, they've earned their success. My only problem is they make really third grade products.

Each game runs on the same engine, yes.

But you're not taking into account the different builds used for each game.

Plus, the reason why I brought up the engine with CoD is because it's the exact same damn game.

You're trying to rebutt an argument by basically saying L4D and Portal are exactly the same.

I'm talking about the same engine under a certain series. Say there is a Half-life 3. Half life 2 and Half Life 3 would be on the same engine with a small improvements on graphics. Does it make it the same game? NO! I'm tired of people saying that "Cod has been the same game since Modern Warfare." When it really hasn't. People are too easy to overlook the new additions in CoD with the engine still being the same a year after. What is the time-range between BF2 and BF3? About 5-6 years. They had a shitload of time to improve! Also Bad Company 2 was about a 1 year and a half ago, but that wasn't THAT different from Bad Company one which was released around 2008.

Like I said, Battlefield and CoD are set out to have different goals and I'm tired of them being compared. Battlefield goes for realism yet enjoyable. CoD goes for fast-paced gun on gun action. CoD keeps their graphics low to play at a 60 FPS on Xbox 360 and PS3/PC so the "gun on gun" action is smooth. That is their goal especially this year for MW3. Infinity Ward collabs with Sledgehammer to make the best CoD possible. Dice has their new Frostbite 2.0 to show off in their new game Battlefield 3. Graphics are almost equivalent to real life and Destruction 3.0 is better than ever.

CoD = gun on gun action
Battlefield = making it as realistic as possible.

CoD is kinda like Counter Strike... but only if Counter Strike was released every year with new things added, but still keeping the core gameplay of it.

Text.

But

You don't have to pay 15$ to get a 4-map mappack on CSS.

Infinity Ward/EA don't give a shit about making a good game.
They just care about money, so they re-release the EXACT SAME GAME (JUST like you said, because change is bad, apparently.)

You're trying to compare mountain-dew fueled 5-year-old multilayer to an involving single player game ._.

It's sad to see that SO MANY people are willing to fork over another 60$, just to get a couple new guns.

To me, the only truly "milked" CoD game was Black Ops.
You guys are making MW2 look like a game that doesn't even deserve to be sold.
Like snipe said, CoD and BF have their niches.
However, CoD games are overpriced, I will not deny that.

Personally, I like both series.
BF is more fulfilling, but takes a little while to get into, while CoD provides fast-paced action from the get-go.

I'll be honest here.
Until around, oh say, 2008, I was a Halo guy (flame away)

This was back when the fanbase was mainly mature people who cared about the story and the mechanics of the game.
Now it's all, "I KEELD U! IMA TEABAG UR BODY ADN B KEWl!!ONE!!"

At least Halo can use a different engine each time.

I cannot wait for:

Operation Flashpoint: Red River (out, but i have to be home to pick it up from gamestop)
Rainbow Six: Vegas 3 (its in secret development, shut up and let me dream)

I love tactical games.
Like, take a bullet to the chest and you ARE out of the fight, not "hang on, if i run faster I'll heal"

But I seem to be the only one.
Oh, and while I have the floor, FUCK GEARS OF WAR. That shit is not "tactical" just cause you can camp on a wall.

Lol, fuck gears of war? Gears may not be tactical, but it is strategic. If you acquire the right amount of skill and establish the correct strategy, you will be unstoppable. Combine that with with 4 other players who have the skills and the correct strategy and you have a team will dominate. Gears is a team game. And Gears 3 is going to be the best out of all gears.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront '41-'45.

THE most realistic WWII you will EVER find.

At least until RO2 comes out...

No recharging health or health kits.
Realistic ballistics and firearms.
Your machine guns can overheat and you have to change the barrel.
If you snipe, it's not a full screen view of the scope, but rather a 3D view.

Red Orchestra German Weapons

Just a vid showcasing some weapons.

AHEM.
Counter Strike can be strategic.
Half-Life DM can be strategic.
So can COD. Or BF, since we were talking about that in the first place.
Team communication should not be limited to a game; this is why I hate people
No one knows how to communicate effectively.
Fucking Forza 3 can take as much strategy as chess, ffs

What I meant is tactical gameplay.
NOT tactical chainsaws.

Oh my god, that's true.

You actually have to think of something against the douchebags who think that they're cool with their shitty, 2000+ hp Toyota's that tend to pit maneuver you to overtake.
