Basically 2gb is mainstream RAM for 2007 computers, Nowadays to run windows with enough power you need 4GB 800MHz+ DDR2 ram

I've got 6gb and works great for me, I recently built my computer about a month ago, AMD Phenom 3.4ghz quad core, Radeon HD 4890, 7200RPM 750gb HDD, 6gb kingston DDR3 1333mhz, and a few extra fans, mobo is Asus, case is Apevia something.

Lol yes because thats what makes -1 because one person out of more then 100 people on a board decided to vote - on one post Lol my rep has been -1 for pretty much since the boards opened it doesn't go up nor does it go down... and its not the fact that I'm trying to prove everybody wrong its the fact that I'm staing i don't know what hes talking about since i don't have that problem. and instead of posting your post you could've simple PM for this kind of thing.

I've found their hardware buying guides extremely useful and good.

The main problem I see is the cheap quad core processor you choose, only has 512 kb of L2 Cache per core, which is something my old Pentium 4 had, So that processor will end up being verrry slow. Besides I have a quad core, and the only thing I have ever seen give me 100% cpu usage, is hardcore rendering. No game even come close to using all the cores, So you would be much better off getting the cheapest AM3 Dual-core processor, It would make your games much faster.


If you would like, give me a budget, and I'll try to build the best computer I can for you and show it to you to see if there is anything I picked you might like more.
