Well overpopulation factors in to world hunger, but also all the other points made in the video were also true.

Meh...

This is a very simple statement that is a good argument... for a 8th grade class, then again alot of people here in rnd are in the 8th grade. Over population is not a factor of world starvation, durr, the video is very true in what it says. Though the video just gives the basics to hunger and world starvation. We are a species like any other species on the planet, and if you observed a certain species over time, you will see their population always change. Our population will also change in the future. So yea, Overpopulation is a Myth based on critics.

Wait what

We don't have that many 8th graders in rnd

At least not many who are regular members...

Clearly you didn't think that through too much, because overpopulation DOES contribute to world starvation.
This obviously, is mainly referring to third world countries that are bellow poverty line, and rapidly increase in population, and become very over populated.
In third world countries there's much less food because they aren't mass producing shit like wealthy countries, and little is shipped to them, so overpopulation DOES CONTRIBUTE to world hunger and makes it worse.

But the key word is contribute.
If there wasn't overpopulation anywhere, there would still be world hunger, because over population is only one contributer and isn't the sole cause of it.

Developing countries would still suffer from world hunger... because... well... it's a developing country :/.

Also, derp my herp and call me Nancy because population change, is not even similar to over population...

Using your... logic? The world's population of human beings is rapidly increasing, doubling fast and faster, growth rate rapidly increasing, but this is normal, this is nature, and therefore it must not be the cause of world starvation.

I do see what you are trying to say though...
But you may have forgotten, just because our population is growing, it doesn't mean that the amount of food grows with it, really, it means the opposite because people are taking up more and more room that would normally be used for farming, and are taking up all natural resources (WHICH ARE LIMITED),so obviously there's going to become more and more people starving.

In third world countries their are wars all over the country, rebellion and poverty, basically they would have the food, but because of wars and gangs and rebellion, the food is not distributed throughout the country. You do not say i did not think it through, because you can't tell if i thought at all, or thought so much my brain exploded. kids...

No, from what I see you just watched the video and just assumed it to be right or some shit, cause all you're doing is repeating words from the video.

If you DID think it through, you didn't support your ideas very well...
Is that any better?

But anyways...
War is a large contributer to it, but again, it's one contributer, if war were gone, world starvation WOULD still be there...

A big reason a developing country is developing (aside from war) is because the country has few resources, or no way of getting them, and the country produces a very small GDP.

Also, don't say shit like "kids..." to try to demeanor and belittle me and dismiss my arguments. Don't assume that because you're older than us, and are a teacher or w/e may be going through your head, that you're better than us and/or are always right simply because you've got age on you. I'm not your fucking student, I've got an opinion of my own, and won't just listen to what you have to say and agree with you.

No need to be serious about this discussion, maybe i am but it is a good topic to work on. The info in the video is true, but when i think about it in my opinion, Overpopulation is not a huge factor to starvation, thats all?

Overpopulation not a factor, we've only inhabited and farmed off of AT MOST half of the surface of the world. The real culprits would be nondistribution and war.

Overpopulation is a fact, just not a large one.
