Meh...
This is a very simple statement that is a good argument... for a 8th grade class, then again alot of people here in rnd are in the 8th grade. Over population is not a factor of world starvation, durr, the video is very true in what it says. Though the video just gives the basics to hunger and world starvation. We are a species like any other species on the planet, and if you observed a certain species over time, you will see their population always change. Our population will also change in the future. So yea, Overpopulation is a Myth based on critics.
Clearly you didn't think that through too much, because overpopulation DOES contribute to world starvation.
This obviously, is mainly referring to third world countries that are bellow poverty line, and rapidly increase in population, and become very over populated.
In third world countries there's much less food because they aren't mass producing shit like wealthy countries, and little is shipped to them, so overpopulation DOES CONTRIBUTE to world hunger and makes it worse.
But the key word is contribute.
If there wasn't overpopulation anywhere, there would still be world hunger, because over population is only one contributer and isn't the sole cause of it.
Developing countries would still suffer from world hunger... because... well... it's a
developing country :/.
Also, derp my herp and call me Nancy because population change, is not even similar to over population...
Using your... logic? The world's population of human beings is rapidly increasing, doubling fast and faster, growth rate rapidly increasing, but this is normal, this is nature, and therefore it must not be the cause of world starvation.
I do see what you are trying to say though...
But you may have forgotten, just because our population is growing, it doesn't mean that the amount of food grows with it, really, it means the opposite because people are taking up more and more room that would normally be used for farming, and are taking up all natural resources (WHICH ARE LIMITED),so obviously there's going to become more and more people starving.
