I just realised happy people don't smoke cigarettes.

No, seriously. All the happy people I've met don't smoke fags at all.

People have never died for smoking to much weed.

Weed has never been a cause of death, unlike nicotine.

Weed is far less dangerous than smoking. Not saying it's a good thing, but you can't get physically addicted to weed itself, only to the nicotine you usually put in the joints. Meaning, it's far easier to get away from weed than is it from cigarrettes.
And in order to overdose on weed, you'd need to consume around 20 kilogram - an amount that would be probably be impossible since you'd throw up all over the place before even coming close to it. Even then you're very unlikely to die.
If you truly think weed gives you cancer, you're an enormous idiot, because the mixture in cigarrettes is the main reason for helping the cancer develop, not the smoke on its own.
Seriously, arguing that weed is worse than nicotine is stupid; you get addicted to nicotine easier, are more likely ot get cancer, don't even get an instant benefit out of it, and so on.

The reason why most smokers are unhappy is because most people start smoking due to a huge amount of stress/depression.

Are you sure you know what a hookah is? Beause a hookah is a fancy bong (pretty much) therefore it can't hurt but depending what you fill the bowl with can.

i wasn't arguing that weed was worse, only that the smoke, regardless of the source, is bad for you. it could be a fucking cactus.

Clearly not since you said "hookah
which is just coated in flavored molasses"

While hookah is a tool for smoking anything therefore its not a  substance "coated in flavored molasses"

How does marijuana affect the lungs?
Scientists believe that marijuana can be especially harmful to the lungs because users often inhale the unfiltered smoke deeply and hold it in their lungs as long as possible. Therefore, the smoke is in contact with lung tissues for long periods of time, which irritates the lungs and damages the way they work. Marijuana smoke contains some of the same ingredients in tobacco smoke that can cause emphysema and cancer.

http://lungcancer.about.com/od/causesoflungcance1/f/marijuana.htm

Recent studies, in contrast, do appear to link smoking marijuana with lung cancer.

One study demonstrated a doubling in lung cancer for male marijuana smokers who also used tobacco. Another study found that long-term use of marijuana increased the risk of lung cancer in young adults (55 and under), with the risk increasing in proportion to the amount of marijuana smoked.

Many of the carcinogens (Cancer causing agents) and co-carcinogens present in tobacco smoke are also present in smoke from marijuana.
