So this is very similar to my old boss where I worked. I worked at a local Dairy Queen. Indian boss so he's already very cheap and unfair. Well I worked there for about 2 months. But I already knew I was his least favorite employee. For example I was the first employee ever ordered to sweep the fucking parking lot. THE FUCKING PARKING LOT. That shits already clean. I don't know how much dirt he expected me to get, so here I am sweeping up cigarette butt here, cigarette butt over there. Just bullshit. And the fact he came out while I was doing it and said "you missed that over there" pointing at a fucking leaf near someones car. Anyway, so yeah the reason I was fired was because of the fact that... ahem.. ready? I WAS FUCKING FIRED FOR NOT COMING TO WORK ON MY DAY OFF!
FridayFuck I was pissed. I came in that day to check my schedule because He hasn't called me in 3 days. (I had Friday-Sunday off) I look at my name and it was scratched out. But the manager wasn't there. So I called him, and he tells me I had work Sunday. But I'm fucking looking at the schedule and my names not there. So yeah, that's my story. But that was almost 2 years ago.
For advice Carp, you are quite the fine, riveting chap, one person such as myself might find pleasurable to help in a time of need such as yours.
Get the FUCK out of restaurant/food business as quick as possible. Especially if you're just bussing tables. Shit's not worth it. Take your time for now, don't expect anything too quick, and a new job WILL find you. After I was fired I applied at literally every building on the strip not a single person hired me. So obviously no one hires that way anymore. So what you need to do is call in bigger businesses. Places your friends dads or moms work at, where no teenager works. Like me, I went from Dairy Queen ice cream bitch to working in a BMW car plant making more money with same hours. And all I'm doing is cleaning, getting 9 bucks an hour. And all I had to be was 18 years old. No experience needed to clean is there? So basically, there ARE jobs that are available. You just have to dig deeper than you think. If there's a local building/plant or some kind of mill or factory around that you would never expect to walk into, try it out, do whatever you need to do to just clean or something at least.
(bigger businesses usually pay more money for simple jobs)
This is only advice for if you just can't find a job now that you've lost yours. Hope I could help, if not Carp than at least anyone else who get's fired from shit jobs.
Oh and Devie's mom gave me this job. make sure I reference that.
