Okay, so I'm writing this using my battery life.

My laptop is six years old, and has gradually gotten worse, up to the point the metal on the power connector started melting.

I have no idea why it's doing this, but it's to the point the laptop is beyond repair.

So out of pure insanity, I MacGyver'd a temporary fix out of electrical tape, a soldering iron, and some metal.

I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG THIS SHIT WILL LAST ME. IT WILL WEAR OFF EVENTUALLY.

So until further notice, I won't be able to steam;skype;ts3;garrysmod.

I'll stay alive for the next 3 hours or so, maybe longer depending when Ben wants to blow my computer up.

Oh, yeah, and I had to type this all one-handed because the other one is holding the electrical connector in place.

That's why I never go with laptops. Instead I like to ducktape my monitor to my desktop case, attach a power outlet to a car battery and carry it around with me where ever I go.

You still have full control over the server. Every 24 hours, it restarts.

Feel free to remote control it and start the server.

@sanders and don - The power connector still "works". I need to hold the connectors with one hand and type. It's only charging at like 25% though, so once my battery dips to about 60%, I'll shut it down and just use mobile RND.

For now, I have about an hour and a half of battery before it gets to that point. ATM I'm copying over music, finals, important documents, pretty much my entire HDD onto an external drive.

Hopefully ittle finish before I get to 60.

At least I'm not loosing battery life now, but anything that uses a shitton of ram is out of the way.

I'm still going to get the ram, no matter what. And this little trick seems to be working (For now). I can't move the laptop at all, nor have more than one tab open in firefox, and steam is completely unusable, considering I'm using Windows 7. The OS takes up all the memory.

Fucking, I don't know what I'm going to do. At least it's charging, and copying my files.
