I'm amazed

This is the first ever gaming community I've been into, when I had cracked gmod. With all the great moments it had, garry's mod turning fucking redundant, forum going less active, servers being less active. This forum, right here, is still a bit active. Shows that people still care about this community, and want to see it come back to life(?). It really does make me tear up. Unless you're going to completely turn what I said upside-down and say "Actually I don't why I'm posting here still". Well then that's also fine. You're contributing to that.

Don't forget to post "funny" pictures here to farm up your +1 respects.

I browse the forums nearly everyday. I just don't contribute much to it because I don't have much to contribute :/

I have the RND forum tab on my browser and just out of a 5 year habit, I always click it when I'm bored. But I 100% agree. Gmod has became so fucking redundant and boring, everyone only wants to play TTT or Fretta...or Dark RP for that matter, I guess I grew out of it. There's only like 2 games that capture my interest atm, I can't play anything else for more than 20 minutes without getting bored. I'd personally love to see this community come back to life, but I'm afraid I can't contribute to that. I grew out of video games, gotta focus more on tackling real life, have other hobbies ect.

It was a fun 5 years though. I remember first playing RND freebuild back when everyone had shitty PC's and a pingazed copy of Gmod. Then we grew and grew, a bunch of internet strangers eventually grew close to each other,  2012 was the height of the community imo, then after that it slowly shrunk and shrunk until today. I just think a lot of us grew up and got on with our lives past video games, instead of being a bunch of screaming 14 year olds like I remember. Still, truly had some beautiful memories and good friend moments.

This right here is the cradle of my internet life and culture knowledge. I've met a lot of people I still get on with outside of rNd, and have got people to play in rNd. It is true that it's in a state of coma, but I guess it's bound to happen to any place that doesn't sell its soul. I really can't make much coherence of this text, but I just feel like saying that I love this place and it's been a bookmark of every browser I've had. Whenever I get bored of everything else, I still come here.

I'm here little, but my heart is much more <3

rNd is and always be part of my life.

The good ol' days when you could hop on to the TTT server and fuck around with good friends for a few hours the log off.

I think the great thing about this community is that even though everyone likes to believe it's solely a gmod community, it isn't. It's a place to share any sort of thing with people. Games, life shit. That's what makes this such a great place. And that's why it'll never seem "dead" to me. Just because gmod is dead, doesn't mean the 20 some odd people still active here are. I had some amazing memories and I don't think new ones are too far off.

I thought this was going to be the future of rNd?! :(

But in all seriousness, rNd is still standing strong despite the members moving away from Garry's Mod and moving on to other games. This community got people around the world together and those people created their own moments.

It's kinda sad to see the activity of the forum to die down, but that's life. I don't even check the forums anymore, even though I have that and the anon forums on a tab. I really enjoyed the times we played Garry's Mod and other games together, because it was really fun and you guys were my second family of sorts. I know I had a tendency to be a jackass and do stupid things back then, but the majority of you guys didn't shut me out because of that. I learned and experienced a lot of things on here, even if most of them are plain stupid. Coolz is probably one of the best game server owners out there, definitely the best when it comes to GMod (not that there's that many good owners in the first place.)

Even though I don't really post on here anymore, play games with you guys, or go on the TS3 server anymore, you guys made my high school years less miserable than it would be if I didn't hop on the ZS server in 2009. Maybe the servers will get more populated this summer, maybe it won't; that's something only god can answer.

To stay on the positive side of all of this, you have to think that rNd is a really big story with the climax at the end, and that the rising action always happens. Hopefully this summer we make some changes and our servers populate again. As we have seen throughout the past few years, summer has always been a boost to our community. The one thing i stress enough for rNd is change, in order for us to adapt with the gaming community today, is that we have to consistently change our idea's, our administration, and the way we bring people into rNd. Now everyone has their own opinion and sometimes we have to craft idea's and options for our community from those opinions, from which we all hold dearly. For the past 51/2 years my opinion about rNd has always been a positive one, an opinion that some people disregard completely, but that still doesn't change my opinion about what we can change for rNd. Just recently we've added a new server for space engineers, and its decently populated, from the same group of people though. What i think what needs to change, is that we need more interaction from people on the forums (which is roughly 50-70 active people) to join the servers daily or weekly, and try to have fun at it. I know i barely have time for video games now, but i do make some time for the game servers. Pretty much i would prefer rNd to go out in a big bang, rather than a little frisk of nothing.

The only gaming community I've been a part of.  I really enjoyed making stuff like that TTT map for everyone.  I quit playing gmod when this community got quiet, because other servers just weren't the same.  But that is the natural cycle of things, and it was fun.

My back still hurts from carrying the team.

Had the best time I've ever had playing a game when I would play TTT with all the usual guys. It actually makes the other servers I play on boring just because they don't have the rNd people.
It's sad to see our old guys move on to do other things, but it looks like a good amount of members are still here. I'm sure most of us are opening the forums every day up out of habit but to see new threads being made is always good. I guess we'll just keep hanging around.

I still hang around but I usually play CS:GO or TF2 nowadays. I still very like the gamemode concept of TTT and play on another server that has pretty good stuff like near 24/7 active moderation, and many custom mods.
