I skimmed the threads. What were the reasons? It seemed like everyone was in favor of it.
I don't even see why this should only be for even (maybe VIPS/)ADMINS. Why not everyone? I mean I don't think knowing who sprayed what as a regular would do anything at all? Or am I missing something?
Essentially the only actual argument I really saw was Moo's saying it can be abused by VIPs by them seeing someone's spray and their name and realizing they've been there at some point and if it's by a body that they may have killed them, etc. However it's such a minor advantage because you don't know that person actually killed them, and this is only an advantage if you don't pay attention or if it's the person's first time using their spray. I personally pay attention to who sprays what always because I do sometimes use that as a tactic, if I see someone's spray by an unID'd body I consider if they're the type of person who gets over their head and leaves shit like that around that could give them away and if I think they do that then I kill them, if not I watch them closely.
However, even this very minimal advantage which can be abused is ridiculously easily avoided. How? Give the privilege to everyone. At that point there's literally no advantage to anyone over another, an even playing field. And if you're uncool with that because guests don't need that ability (which I tbh see nothing wrong with), then deal with the incredibly minor chance of there being a slight advantage for members who have it.
And aside from that the only other thing mentioned is "I simply don't see that they need it" which I have to admit doesn't make sense to me. It's very clear that it will aid at least VIPs in dealing with people who have unwanted sprays, there's no question about that. However it can be abused in a way, but by so little that if you can trust a person with kicking and banning I think there shouldn't be a problem with them seeing a person's name on their spray.
So, I don't see any good reason NOT to have it implemented really. Unless it's difficult to add which I don't think is the case as it has never been mentioned to my knowledge. If that is the case though, then I don't think it's worth the hassle. Sure it may help but I don't think sprays are that huge of a problem or at least not often are and at that point can probably just be dealt with in the current manner.
