It's more like turning into an empire at this point.US foreign policy is even better: starting wars for natural resources, drone strikes 24/7, spying other countries (even US alies). All in the name of counter-terrorism.
Well yeah. The EU might decide to drop a warhead on the US one day without any warning or cause. Duh. And without oil we would have to come up with cheaper and more efficient methods of energy production. Its just
too practical. Cant have that, now can we?
Why put money into something useful, like say, education, when you can spend untold amounts of money doing other things. Like building more weapons that wont be used, or developing new weapons that wont be used, or developing weapons for aircraft that wont be flown or used, or collecting every possible bit/byte of data on our own citizens without any real reason, or trying to figure out which type of tea our European enemies enjoy most.
I for one, enjoyed eating a mouth full of saw dust and chicken bone and drinking rebottled tap (river) water for lunch. The books we were supplied were in fairly decent shape too. Only had 10-20% of the pages were removed or had dicks drawn on them. And the building construction was immaculate. Except for a series of windows shattering in the middle of the hallway due to it being a load bearing wall. But Im sure thats okay, they replaced it with clear glass instead of that 60 year old yellow glass.
Priorities in budgeting, check.
Kids get arrested for 10 years for making a joke, when killing 3 men gets you 9 years.
