How did you guys get into PC gaming?

Man I just started off right after high school, with playing World of Warcraft for a while lol, god dam that was so long ago

Yeah, was really addicting back then but it's kinda crap nowadays, never went back to it since a few months ago.

Used to play it no life. Did pretty good with all explosives. I quit when the hackers were in every room and when they made all weapons 7 days. I liked having 1 day 3 explosive primaries ._.

Well i started out with this
(All of the following happened when i was still in Bulgaria)

Then i used to go to those Lan thingies to play CS 1.6 with my mates

Then i got my First pc that was apparently way better than my current one and started playing CS 1.6 alot

Then i learned about GTA started playing that alot too.

Then i learned about Css(also i didin't even know steam existed those days,i downloaded all these games)and started playing that

Which leads me to GMod 9...singleplayer,my god i was lonely in that game.

AND THEN..........acouple of days before leaving for Belgium i had started Playing Resident Evil 5,finished it the day i went to Belgium

AND i never saw my pc again because my father hid the Documents for it,and later on when i was in belgium he sold it for 100 i've been told....ffs that was a 1000(lev) pc

(the following is when in Belgium)

Started playing Cs 1.6  for 1 year straight on my current shitty pc

Saw gmod gameplay videos on youtube,downloaded gmod and didin't know how to play online(lol)

Then i learned about steam,and..ahem..pingazed games.

Downloaded pingazed Gmod from steam,singleplayer for 1 month.

And that leads to my entire history of  being in rNd and the horrible,horrible low fps

Then officially it was SimCopter.

Then flash games came out and I got smart and started playing up-to-date games like Black and White, Deux Ex IW, Halo, SimCity, The Sims, The Sims 2, TES, GTA III, NFS II, etc.

when we still used windows 98/ME and you had the big grey box with the blue loading bar

and you still had to use CD drives and try to open those awkward plastic boxy CD cases that sometimes you broke

and the turquoise background and all the folder icons

I had to look up Miuchiz. Man I forgot about those games that did that kind of stuff, don't they still have stuff liike that? lol.

Simcity 4 and Titan quest.
Then I "progressed" to runescape when I was introduced to the world of dial-up.

I remember when I finally got real internet. Was like oh wow it doesn't take 10 minutes to load a page!

But over time (I imagine most of us) I get impatient when it takes 20 seconds or something.  lol
