Got a new server. All the data from the old one is gone, so I'll have to eventually reupload those 500+SWF's and shit.

but yeah. Should me and Deacon bring back the minecraft server?

Just lately I've been wanting to play Minecraft, and I was all "I wish Snivy's server was still up .."

I probably would play it from time to time if there would be people playing it and it would allow people with cracked minecraft version to join.

I should also point out that we're running a much weaker rig than before.

I can't afford to run the same setup we had before. We'd probably only have 8-12 player slots.

We do have backups of the old 1.2.5 server though, which is the City map if you don't remember.

Gamefreak was going to host one for a day, I don't remember why he didn't do it though. I gave him permission to.

Here's my question, actually.

Would people be okay with using spout again? We don't have to have any fancy spout-specific plugins, but it did a fantastic job of making the server more efficient.

If you connected with a spout client while the server was running spout, your resource usage was little to none. It was pretty great because latency, block lag, and the server in general responded faster.

Yet, if you connected with a normal client, you used the same resources that vanilla minecraft did.

I personally really want to force spout again, but I know a lot of people were against it.

New exploration, less people traveling to the edges of nowhere, etc
