Good luck not having an absolute breakdown and suffering permanent emotional trauma that cripples your social abilities for the rest of your life and alienates all your loved ones.

Really, good luck with that.

I know you're excited for this. I just genuinely hope that you don't have the same idealistic view of war as most guys your age do.

This might come off as a bit of a buzzkill comment, but I've had relatives who thought they were just going to leave, "serve their country" in some non-threatening peaceful way, and get to shoot lots of guns. They came back with severe PTSD, too many medications to handle, failing relationships, and a big "fuck you" from the government when they wanted help afterwards.

Just be careful out there.

I fully know where your coming from man, but I'm not like everyone else,  I carefully chose my MOS before I even signed on the dotted line, I am a Aviation Electronic Specialist, in lay mans terms i work on the electronics for navy birds. but still im glad you have my best interests at heart.
