From the times that Shockah supplied that the "imposter" entered after Eion, i'd have to say that Eion was the imposter, but there's not SOLID proof. It's pretty coincidental if that's not Eion, but I'm almost 100% sure it is. We can still get him for what he admitted to at the very least.

P.S. Eion, would you mind making your account public? I want to investigate something (if you're not the imposter I hope you will gladly accept)

I'll do that ASAP, but that is not soon. If not tomorrow then the day after that. It's currently set so that friends of friends can view it if it's any help.

I will be reverting it back in a day or two afterwards though, so check it on the weekend.

ALSO: If this person joined right after I left, how soon? Signing into another steam profile would require me to either sign out, sign back in, and start Gmod back up or there is a spy. Keep in mind that this person could have waited until my name dissapeared from the infobox (refresh spam) you can pull up for every server.

Actualy it's likely that the impersnoator was in there with you guys and simply left, changed his name, and rejoined.

The time "they" joined afterward was about the amount of time it would take to sign out, sign in, start up Garry's Mod and rejoin.

The profile picture used by the "imposter" was pretty unique; I probably would have noticed it while you were in-game. The "imposter" was definitely not playing until you were kicked.

It's still possible. You can have a Steam browser open in your game ('Shift+Tab' by default). All they would have to do is set up the name change and the image change before hand and presto! A new identity.

EDIT: Actually I'm not so sure about that. If they had to browse for the image it might not be possible... I can't recall if steam uses a URL to obtain a picture either, if it does it's definitely possible.

Ok, even you have to admit your story has gotten quite unbeleiveable now.

Lol, I've been thinking almost the same thing.

This almost reminds me of playing as an Innocent in TTT. I'm just listing all the possible things this impersonator could have done. If there was any evidence proving (which there can't be) I had any relation to this impersonator I'd have treated this all much diffrently.

Can't we just ban the impersonator? OP has enough evidence... or should I make a seperate thread? I haven't made a ban request before so I wouldn't know.

Who cares if it is an impersonator or not?

Both of you have done shit.

I still don't understand why someone would go so far as to wait until you left, "impersonate" you, and then coincidentally leave right before your "main" account rejoined.

I have a feeling, Eion, that you're just trying to wriggle your way out of this.

  • Sabb's champion-pool is too large.

That's exactly what he's trying to do, shift the blame. Eion it WAS you, there's enough circumstantial evidence in my mind or I wouldn't have made this report in the first place. Your explanation simply isn't practical whatsoever this isn't an action spy movie it's a game server that you got mad on and decided to troll to no avail.

That didn't happen. This is the order of events from my perspective:

I target RDM.
I act afk to avoid being kicked outright.
I get kicked.
I go play something else for about and hour if not more.

Oh and BTW, I was kicked sometime after the map changed (after ttt_clue came some CS:S map, possibly de_inferno) and didn't come back for quite some time. I either played Half-Life (goldrc) or a MineCraft server I frequent. Infact I never even logged out of steam!

Honestly I don't understand either, if it wasn't for Shockah's proof I'd have thought it never would have happened.

Anyway, I'mma post a ban request on this imposter within 30 minutes if nothing comes up. Just need to put all Shockah's proof in one place and read the rest of the stikied posts.

EDIT: Made that other ban request on the imposter.

What is this?!

Description of the event(s)
It started when I killed Eion for reasons he didn't see fit. I had killed him for being with a T of which he had dna on and not killing him on top of generally acting like a T and following me when I told him specifically several times to go away. He then proceeded to rage about how unfair of a kill it was and the next round he spent asking everyone of my whereabouts literally the entire round. I had died in the very start of the match and been thrown down a hole by a T. The next round he found me in the start of the round walked up to me and proceeded to snipe me in the head then proclaiming that, "His job here was done". After kicking him the map switched. Right after it switched he returned on his alt account evading the minuscule 10 minute kick. He then proceeded to find me and try and unload on me with his terribly low karma that his alt possesses. After yet another kick, the kick on his other account had expired and he returned on it. He then returned under his new alias of which he was imitating another player on at the time Captain David I believe. Evading yet again the kick that took place on that account. After a swift random 60minute kick from one of the other VIP's present at the time Foofoojack I've yet to see him return.

You LIAR! I can't fucking believe I didn't notice something missing from your post.

Absolutely FALSE.

You did not kick me on clue, you kicked me THE FIRST ROUND on the CS:S map. (I also did not rejoin for quite some time!) Your own very proof disagrees with me coming back as Captain David. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/542930855873320829/14CDEEBE6E1513C441186E76ACF879B23534C7C6/

Yes I did just notice this.

I have done a partial review of the logs for the day in question with the two SteamID's provided. Both of the connections originated from different IP addresses, in separate states, on different ISP's. There is an extremely high probability these are indeed two different people.

No way of telling if they know each other or not though.

I personally am still undecided on the issue, this thread got confusing pretty fast... It seems it may of just been a total coincidence.

On the other hand they may know each other and be working together (seems less likely).

Any other thoughts?

Edit: After additional thought, it seems they may not be working together... Why would he report his friend. Unless hes trying to clear his own name?
(see http://forum.randomgs.com/index.php/topic,13210.0.html )

This is all starting to seem more and more like a coincidence, unless more information arises I'll treat it as such. Only offense would be a single RDM, not a huge issue...

Minic got to it before me. I actually now believe that Eion and the imposter are two different people.

I checked out the imposter's profile and looked at some of his aliases. I've seen his aliases playing on the TTT server recently; all of them were RDMing, calling out T buds, and being general mingebags.

Eion is probably not guilty of evading, but there's no doubt that he needs to be punished for:

This is the order of events from my perspective:

I target RDM.

Apologies for the accusations of evasion; however, you did admit to breaking the rules and should accept whatever punishment the admins decide to hand down.
