GIFs in signature

i have seen some of the users on this fourum with moving .gif pictures on their signatures. how do i get this to work, everything i have tried has failed, does copying the url make it visible to others not me? because it becomes a link when i add it. :/

To do this easily, highlight the direct link in your message box and click the button (below the Bold edit button). It surrounds your image with the tags.
