apple products do as apple products should

1. On my newer computer, iTunes wouldn't recognize my iPhone 3GS. I chalked this up the the fact that I need to update iTunes, and then I'd need to update my iPhone. iTunes would continually have errors installing, though, and would show an error code. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes but iTunes wouldn't reinstall due to "errors". I've googled this and haven't gotten any help.

2. I decided "I guess I'll have to use my old computer for this shit". So, I set up the old computer, update iTunes, and install the update. But, before the iPhone could update, in the middle of "preparing to restore data", the iPhone get bricked. It is now stuck on the "plug into shitty fucking piss iTunes and go fuck yourself" and isn't recognized when I open iTunes. I've also googled this but I can't make sense what any of the dumbass retarded monkeys on the Apple or other Apple-related forums say.

Is it jailbroken?

This shit happened to me once. I had to use redsnow to boot it in tethered mode just so I can restart it since it wouldn't sync with itunes ._.

I don't even use iTunes anymore, due to how shitty it is.

It's slow and laggy as shit. I bet they did that on purpose just for people who use it on Windows

Copytrans is a really good alternative to iTunes, it's what I use.

You still need iTunes installed for the iPhone drivers though.

Will that program let me add all my 2400+ pictures to my iPod? and like hell i'm going to ever update it, iOS 4.2.1 is the only one I'll stick with.

It doesn't matter what your firmware is, it'll let you transfer files.

I'm > fairly certain < you can copy photos onto it. I don't see why not, since I was able to copy my MGS2 codec m4r, and it accepted it as a ringtone just fine :x

If it's able to do that, I'm sure it will let you upload photos. I can't find my USB cable at this EXACT second so I can't confirm it though.

You should get it anyways. It's free, fast, and easy to use. Better than Apples shiet.

So I fixed it with redsnow.

It worked fine for a few hours, and then goes full retard when I wasn't looking.

Now the phone needs to be reactivated.

Is there any way I could fix that with redsnow? It has a SIM Card and everything.

UPDATE: I started doing pretty much anything on redsnow that sounded like it would work and now redsnow stops working when I try to boot up the phone, which it won't do. FUCK.
UPDATE: After holding down the power and home button for like a minute, it turns on. Disregard above update, although the current problem is still here.
UPDATE: Derp, just had to restore from backup. False alarm.
