Title: TTT_Whitehouse fix.

After complaints from other people, and my self, I decided to decompile the TTT_whitehouse map and remove the hidden land mines.
They could be picked up with the magneto stick and detonated. The detonation killed everyone near, and the detonator wouldn't lose karma.
Very minageable and unfair.

Everything in the map is the same, Just the mines are gone.

Yes or no?

If a map is only fun because you can blow others to hell without losing karma, It should be removed anyways.

By that logic using any map with a Exploding barrel should be fix since you can blow people up with those without losing karma.

I did like the mines. I would place them next to a door, and hallways (which were PERFECT). But I really hate how people abuse it and carry it around, throwing at other people.

actually i laugh my ass off when i get killed by a mine... and if you can lose karma for the barrels now just add the karma system to the mines problem solved.

If i remember correctly, decompiling a map, then compiling it, will just make more errors. (Its really about the decompiler program itself!)
So, you should ask map maker if he/she has still the vmf and edit it by self.

And you need to ask map maker a permission to fix/change the map. (Would be good thing to do.)
Atleast i wouldn't want people to decompile/fix/change my map.

He's talking about walking around with a barrel and letting someone else shoot it I believe, but it's not the same thing.
I fucking love whitehouse with the mines, it's a chance to have fun.
If you don't want to be blown up by a mine, either stay away from the mines or go down the elevator where the mines can't go.
Takes a bit of simple logic to avoid things like this :l.
It's in the game, it's how it is, so find a way to work around it instead of complaining about every little thing :l.
(I'm not saying that anyone in this thread did so)
Also, a few more things.
For once, I actually agree with Shawn.
The map is just a chance to have FUN.
People should just realize that it's a game and the whole point isn't to win, just to have fun.
One last thing.
Why the hell is Pry posting in here?

I know that it's fun because I like the mines either, but sometimes people are running purposely to you
with a mine so it might be difficult to avoid it.

it's never effected me.. i dont think it's a big enough issue to make everyone re-download the map

^This.  All the mines gets used up 10 seconds in the round by mingebags, so the traitor's can't use them.

I use them as T sometimes. I drop it right in front of people who aren't paying attention, they walk forward and BOOOM!

I do this mainly because I can rack up kills without people suspecting I'm T.

Mines are fun as long as you don't chase random people with them.
Well, at least for some of us.

Although chasing people with the mines should be kickable offense.
