The first one was actually made before, but all were prototypes and in-complete ones, the concept was first brought up at 1934, the first train that was commercial and used by people was built in 2001, in China =D
There was also one in Germany before that, it was used for testing =O

No the first one that moved people was in 1984 Lol thats what i meant by first one... where ever you get your info is wrong Lmao

On September 22, 2006 an elevated Transrapid train collided with a maintenance vehicle on a test run in Lathen (Lower Saxony / north-western Germany). Twenty-three people were killed and ten were injured. These were the first fatalities resulting from a Maglev train accident.

They also had electric cars, until gas companies went crazy on us from not buying from them.  :(

The accident was caused by human error with the first train being allowed to leave the station before the maintenance vehicle had moved off the track. This situation is avoided in a production environment by installing an automatic collision avoidance system.

"The Japanese test train in Miyazaki, MLU002, was completely consumed in a fire in 1991."

And now Renault is producing Zero Emission electric cars and some recharging stations are going to open worldwide, luckily also in Israel =DDD
