horrible feature where it dims your mic to other players depending on how far away you are. oh god its terrible.

It's not the mics itself, it's the thingy they added in TTT that's really annoying. RP servers have the same thing.

I don't know about them. Meaning I'm not sure.
They aren't really realistic. I mean, look at the Character model; they all have Mics and Earplugs themselves, why shouldn't they hear what their allies say? They have that for a reason :/
It also makes the game incredibly easy for target RDMing and easy for Traitors in general.
