Another problem with my new PC >.<
ArTIk*BaNAnA:
Hey guys (and gals lol), my new PC is working now and I'm using it right now, though I have a VERY annoying problem......it says that only 2GB RAM out of 6GB are useable and the other 4GB are saved for BIOS and stuph like that, I tried going into BIOS and changing that but it didn't help AT ALL, there wasn't even an option related to RAM, anyone has an idea what to do?
System specs:
CPU: I7-930
GPU: ATIHD 5850
RAM: 6GB G.Skill 1333 MHz
Motherboard: P6T WS Professional (Asus)
Shawn:
Click the Start button, type in "msconfig" in the search bar, hit Enter.
When that pops up, click on the "boot" tab, then "Advanced options" and make sure that the box for "Maximum memory" is unchecked.

Its unchecked, but I know what's the problem, the 4GB are dedicated to something else, I just don't know how to change that =\

you have 3 sticks of 2 GB each? some motherboards like ram to be in matched pairs, if it is dual channel.
i.e. it wants either 2 or 4 sticks.
