Sakade you need to kill the hl2.exe process. Sometimes when source games crash their processes stay open. They wont be under applications, you need to find them in processes.

Then damn Steam failed, not a thing that happens rarely, actually, Steam and Gmod fail almost all the time xD

This same problem happened when I was talking to krasher a while ago. I found the hl2.exe easily and stopped it. I had to restart my computer though becasue it wouldn't load up again :(
