uh.. great. So today I pretty much finished a big section and needed to test it out. so.. I went to compile it. now the past couple times compiling it's gotten REALLY slow near the end. but today It made it to 9... "yes with 3 dots" and each dot was taking almost 20 minutes.. but that last few percentages took 4 hours and STILL didn't finish. At this time my room was scorching. I was sweating like a pig and thought about how hard my pc was working.. so i checked my digital thermometer on the front of my cpu. it was 91 degrees and rising. so I was like fuck this and switched off the power, ripped off the side and put a fan right next to my tower and let it sit all day. So. i had all day to think about it and I think what I'll have to do is just delete my custom backdrop (which was sooo perfect...) :( and replace it with a simple 3d skybox. figure that could help.. maybe i can replicate my backdrop. but it sucks this shit happens lol. Any suggestions before i do something that will possibly delay my map even more?

Ok, so nevermind my last comment, i just went through with it, it's not bad. shit, it's actually looking pretty good, and I'm compiling with both options checked "fast" and it just builds mah face lights and thats it. But here are some pictures I GUESS I'll give you. this is almost nothing of the map tho.

Don't think the map's done. I showed you a couple things. Thumbs up, but I'm not done, I've got a bit more to do (hoping my computer wont fry) but I'm working very hard and very persistently, I'm just updating you guys, (yeah I wanted everything to be a surprise but I didn't show you too much.) anyway let me know what you think so far and any tips of where to go next.

lol @ the displacments on the first screenshot, make them a bit smaller they look stretched

try making the texture size for those skybox mountains smaller, or maybe just smooth them down a little.
