" Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto V was in full development and that it would take place within Los Santos and its 'surrounding hills, countryside and beaches' ...while confirming that its story will focus on "the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California."

So I guess it won't take place in San Fierro or Las Venturas?

Nah, just a REALLY redesigned "Vinewood" (LA)
